WHAT THEY DO
Bluffs Regional Park and Trail provide connections to Highlands Ranch trails, the East/West Regional Trail, and South Suburban Parks and Recreation’s trail system. The park opens an hour before sunrise and closes an hour after sunset.
Trail details: 3.72 miles of soft surface trail Easy with some hills, 200-foot elevation gain with some grades exceeding 8% in short stretches.
HISTORY
The Bluffs Regional Park came to Lone Tree as a required open-space amenity to offset ongoing growth that includes high-density subdivisions and business openings. The Bluffs Regional Park is 253 acres which is literally a backyard to many area residents. There is also 200 feet of elevation gain throughout the trail. There are also two viewpoint trails within the loop.
